Two days ago, my life took an exciting turn for the better. We're talking major, major improvement here. I'm finally achieving a goal I've put off for quite some time.
On approximately April 8th, I should be receiving....
*drumroll please*
MY PASSPORT!!!!
I found out late last week that I have a chance for a weekend trip to Vancouver in a couple of weeks! Yay! Going to Vancouver, however, does necessitate crossing an international border. So we rushed to the Seattle Passport Agency on Friday afternoon to fill out all the paperwork and get it expedited. Sadly, Robert has to mail off for a copy of his birth certificate. His accent just isn't American enough, I suppose, and they wouldn't accept our word that he's a citizen. He probably won't get a copy of it with enough time to also get his passport. So I might be trekking up to the Great White North solo. But, I will FINALLY have a passport, and get a stamp in it.
And yes, for me, Canada counts as a foreign country. :)
This could also be very useful come late September, which is when we've tentatively planned a tentative trip to Turkey. I haven't gotten the prize details yet, so we don't want to make any concrete plans. But Istanbul is seriously pulling me at the moment. And I think I can convince Robert to tag along.
So that's about all that's going on with us lately. I really do want to update this thing regularly. But I really don't have that many interesting updates.
The weather in Seattle is crappy right now. Windy, rainy, and cold. That's pretty much standard fare. :)

I still don't have one. :( I am excited for you though
So so fun. Vancouver is beautiful, and TURKEY! Your stamp-in-passport is reminding me of Lucy from While You Were Sleeping. :)
I just went up to Vancouver last weekend to see the new temple. It is pretty cool. Hope you have fun on your trip :)
